Bowls club open

Ray Rainsford shared an update recently on the new season at the Cambridge Central Bowling Club

Bowls are all-go at the Cambridge Central Bowling Club.

Saturday, September 1 saw the opening of the new season for lawn bowls at the Cambridge Central Bowling Club.

A good number of club members attended resplendent in their whites with bowls polished ready to go.

President Alison Winter welcomed the members, Don Nicol threw up the first jack and life member Dawn Brittin delivered the first bowl and play was underway in fine sunny weather.

The Club has a healthy membership this season and has attracted many new members.

Cambridge Central is one of the few clubs in the Waikato that has an increasing membership.
