Cambridge High School’s Junior Premier Netball team accomplished an outstanding achievement last month in Rotorua, winning the Waikato Bay of Plenty Netball Secondary School Year 10 grade at the regional netball tournament.
The team soared through pool play unbeaten in their five games to meet Taupo-o-Nui College in the semi-final, winning convincingly with a score of 30-8. The team then went on to win a very close final against Rotorua Girls High School, 21-20.
The team is made up of both Year 9 and 10 girls, coached by ex Waikato Magic player Rachel Davis and managed by Michelle McDonald. “It’s a wonderful achievement and shows the depth of talent and promise emerging at Cambridge High Netball,” said Davis.
